Tell us about one new course that has recently been added to your curriculum in the last year. How do you see this influencing the current cohort?
“Race, Power & Influence in Organizations.”
This has been a tumultuous year that has exposed many of the sharp racial, economic, and intellectual divides that persist in society and in the economy. We launched this course because we want our MBA students to manage well in organizations that are challenged to succeed and thrive within this complex social and economic context.
If you could invite a fictional character to lecture in one of your courses, who would it be and what course would he/she teach? Why?
Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games. She would teach Game Theory. In The Hunger Games, Katniss is a fierce competitor taking control of situations that need resolution. Her ability to figure out complex situations and balance trades-off with limited information makes her a great candidate to teach game theory concepts and principles.
