What is it about your MBA program that students love the most?

Community, collaboration, focus on student success and global emphasis.

Tell us about one new course that has recently been added to your curriculum in the last year.  How do you see this influencing the current cohort?

MOR-598: Leading and Coaching – this is the curricular component of the Marshall Leadership Fellows Program, a year-long leadership development program for a select number of FTMBA students. Offered in two sequential 1.5 unit courses, the first half of the class covers leadership theory and foundational knowledge. The second half of the class is designed as a practicum that allows students to practice what they’ve learned through coaching a first-year core team. The class of 2018 is the first class to take part in this curricular experience, which will enhance their leadership skills and savvy as they enter the workforce upon graduation.

If you could invite a fictional character to lecture in one of your courses, who would it be and what course would he/she teach?  Why?

Tommy Trojan. As the iconic symbol of USC (his statue stands in the main quad of campus,) he embodies the values we teach all of our students: the value of collaboration and teamwork; the value of service. The value of integrity and tenacity. Finally, he embodies the relentless pursuit of ambition and world-changing leadership.

USC Marshall School of Business

The USC Marshall full-time-MBA is a nationally-ranked, highly flexible and globally focused two-year program. Students pursue rigorous foundational courses over the first semester and then choose a professional functionality for deeper exploration in the remaining three semesters. All students undertake a two semester course on global business, which includes a 10-day overseas learning experience.
